Eric Scholten
Senior Pastor
God brought Eric to First Baptist of Longwood in August of 2014. Originally from Connecticut, Eric moved to Florida in 1998 and met his wife, Dawn, shortly thereafter. Eric and Dawn have served together in ministry throughout their married life in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Egypt. It is their great joy to be the parents of three daughters and two sons. Eric came to faith in college when his roommates shared the gospel with him. He went on to earn his Masters and Doctorate degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

Chris Culpepper
Associate Pastor of Worship
Chris began serving as Associate Pastor of Worship in October of 2019. Chris received his Bachelors in Music from Liberty University in 2010 then received a Masters in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2012. Chris grew up in ministry and has always had a passion for music in the local church. To have the heart of a true worshiper is to know that we were created by Him and for Him to share His love. Chris and his wife, Jasmine, have been married since 2010 and have two children. Chris and his family are big Disney fans.
Scott Long
Children's Director
Scott trusted Christ as his Savior when he was 12 years old. After graduating from Pensacola Christian College, Scott served as a missionary to the Apache Indians, a school teacher, an Associate Pastor, and a Children's Pastor for over 25 years. Scott has authored a children's devotional book called "Life lessons without the fleas." He is married with two children. He has served First Baptist of Longwood since November 2019.

Greg Vogel
Maintenance Supervisor
Greg lives in Wekiva Springs with his wife, Angela, and his three sons Joshua, Noah, and Nicholas. Greg has worked for First Baptist of Longwood for over 15 years as the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. He likes to share how blessed he is to work with a Godly, kind, and supportive staff.
Melanie Brown
Administrative Assistant
Melanie has been the Administrative Assistant since August of 2019. She is married to her husband, Darren, and they have a daughter named Kate. They have been members of First Baptist of Longwood since 2015. Melanie graduated from the University of North Florida and worked as a physical therapist for 20+ years. She has done mission work in several countries. In her free time, she loves traveling, gardening, and photography.
