Senior Pastor
Dr. Chris Whaley
Pastor Chris came to serve our church in May 2000 and recently celebrated his tenth year of ministry at FBCL. He is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and wife Verna have been married 35 years. Verna is a Calculus teacher at Oviedo High School and also a graduate of PBAU. They have two daughters: Kacie, a music teacher and also a PBA grad. Kacie is married to Bret Melvin. Alyson is a former high school math teacher who graduated from the University of Central Florida. Alyson is married to Rob Tweedy and they reside in Melbourne, Florida. Rod and Alyson are the parents of Pastor Whaley's two grandchildren, Dax and Charlotte. Pastor Whaley’s book, The Masked Saint, was released in 2009 (www.themaskedsaint.com).

Director of Education / Administration
Vickie Martin
Vickie has an AS degree in Marketing and Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Leadership, as well as her Child Development Associate, her Florida Administrator/Director Credential and numerous continued education hours in various courses for all age levels. Vickie is married, has 2 sons, and has worked in full time ministry for 13 years. Her life verse is Romans 8:28, "All things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose."

Worship Pastor
Rev. Ron Laferriere
Ron came to serve our church on October 1 2007 as our full time pastor of worship ministries. Ron grew up in the Orlando area attending Oak Ridge High School and graduating from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has served in several area churches and started a church in Oviedo, being its senior pastor for 12 years. He is married to Debi who is a teacher at our Noah's Ark preschool and they have four grown children.

Pastor of Youth and Children
Richard Ferguson
Richard came to serve our church on October 5th, 2009. He is a lifelong resident of the sunshine state. After serving the State of Florida as a correctional officer, Richard entered the ministry in July 2006. He graduated in May 2008 from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion. Richard is married to his high school sweetheart, Alta.

Children's Director
Marie Beckler
Marie was hired as Children's Ministry Director on September 16, 2009.
Marie was born in Nashville, Tennessee.
As a daughter of an Air Force Master Sergeant,
she traveled around often and lived overseas in Okinawa as a child.
She graduated from Middle Tennessee State Universary where she recieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. While attending the university she met the love of her life, Roger, and married him on May 27, 1978. They have two sons, Michael and Stephen. Michael is married to Carissia and they have a daughter named Dakota.
